Região: Macedo de Cavaleiros, Trás-os-Montes, Portugal

Solo: Schist origin with medium levels of clay (argil) and the presence of quartz

Clima: Temperate, characteristically continental climate

Vinificação: Rigorous grape selection, total destemming, pre fermentative cold maceration for 4 days followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks, maceration by daily pumping over with temperature control. To soften the tannins the wine was aged on its sediment up to the summer. This wine was neither filtered nor cold-stabilized. It may throw a deposit.

Castas: This is a blend of predominantly Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional.

Cor: Bright red, with good intensity.

Aroma: Youthful complex and pronounced, highlighted by red and black ripe wild fruits as well as ripe cherry.

Paladar: Elegant on the palate with a very soft end of mouth highlighting fresh red fruit.

Consumo: Should be served at a temperature between 16 ºC and 18 ºC.
